Magnetic Island (Yunbenun) National Park Volunteers

The Yunbenun Magnetic Island National Park Volunteers meet fortnightly, March to November, on alternate Saturday mornings. The goal is to restore and maintain areas of National Park as flourishing natural environments.

The work of the group is supervised by the Magnetic Island Nature Care Association with input and support from the QPWS Rangers and Carolyn Dixon (YMINPV Coordinator) and Cate Paton (Session Leader).

People come along and weed because it is an enjoyable activity in the company of friendly people, and in a beautiful setting with the opportunity to learn about the local plants.
